Following we have given detailed syllabus for IAS 2014 Preliminary Exam. IAS 2014 Preliminary Exam shall contain 2 compulsory papers of 200 marks each.
IAS 2014 Preliminary Paper I Syllabus
- Current events of national and international importance.
- History of India and Indian National Movement.
- Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
- Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
- Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
- General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization.
- General Science.
IAS 2014 Preliminary Paper II Syllabus
- Comprehension
- Logical reasoning and analytical ability
- Decision-making and problem-solving
- Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
- Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. - Class X level)
- General mental ability
- English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

ReplyDeleteIf u have will to serve the nation than u r an IAS officer, if u know ur country's economy and movements thn u r true Indian. Every Indian is an officer at his best whenever he try to fight for a good cause. Its ur will nt a power. So I wish all the very best to all Indians whoever applying for this post but those who fail to become an IAS officer plz dnt get nervous becoz the preparation u vl go through for this examination vl give u the best ability to serve ur nation as a good civilian. And nobody can have rights to stop a good civilian fighting for a good cause. So always keep that spirit up in u and do ur best.
